Safe area for residents

On April 22, an important milestone was marked in the Vardenis community with the official opening of a safe space for residents

The Head of the Vardenis Community, Aharon Khachatryan, hosted representatives of UNHCR Armenia and World Vision Armenia

The newly established safe space has been renovated, furnished, and equipped with early warning systems and essential emergency supplies

In parallel, awareness-raising and preparedness trainings, along with a simulation exercise, were conducted to strengthen community resilience.

The initiative was implemented in close cooperation with the Vardenis Municipality within the framework of the EU-ECHO funded program “Strengthening Community Resilience and Disaster Preparedness Capacities in Armenia” ․
